Kent Reliance, the county bank headquartered in Chatham, has been announced as a new sponsor for the Kent Literacy Awards.
The Kent Literacy Awards celebrate initiatives that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in both primary and secondary schools in Kent, Medway and Bexley.
Rob Gurr, Events and PR Manager – Kent Reliance, said: “We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of the Kent Literacy Awards and to celebrate successful literacy programmes within the Kent, Medway and Bexley area. The development of young minds coupled with the recognition and celebration of all those involved with these fantastic initiatives is at the core of The Kent Literacy Awards. Shining a light on projects which resonate with pupils and the sharing of these ideas across the county is yet another way Kent Reliance is helping support our local community.”
Simon Dolby, chief executive at the KM Charity Team, said: "We are thrilled to have the support of Kent Reliance for this year's Kent Literacy Awards. The initiative recognises creative and innovative methods schools use in order to engage children in reading, writing, speaking and listening, which in turn prepares them for a more prosperous future. It is imperative that we successfully build the next generation through great schooling, and it is equally imperative that we reward the hard-working staff who dedicate their time and skills."
