13 Oct 2015

Kent Reliance is proud to announce the opening of its new Hempstead Valley branch at The Venue on Monday 19 October.

Kent Reliance, one of the county’s largest employers and part of OneSavings Bank plc, listened to customer and staff feedback to ensure the new, purpose-built branch, better serves both their needs. Various improvements have been made to the branch to expand the services offered, including enhancements to reduce waiting times and a new dedicated private area for customer consultations.

The relocation and enhancement of the Hempstead Valley branch, forms part of a wider programme of investment into its branch network by Kent Reliance.

Andy Golding, CEO at OneSavings Bank plc, said: “The opening of our new Hempstead Valley branch is an achievement we can all be proud of as investing in improved facilities means we can provide a better service for our customers and an improved working environment for our staff.

Andy continues: “We also have further developments planned for other branches within our network following the successful completion of our revamped Gravesend and Hempstead Valley branches and I look forward to sharing these details shortly.”

Will Davies, Head of Savings at Kent Reliance, said: “Commitment to our customers is paramount importance to Kent Reliance. Our new Hempstead Valley branch is a continuation of our commitment to enhancing the customer experience. Whilst other high-street banks close their branches, we are delighted to be able to offer our savers a new and improved facility and opportunity to speak directly with our staff.”

The opening of this new branch is one of two significant events for Kent Reliance that week; Monday also sees the launch of their new children’s account.

The Peter Pan Account is specifically designed for younger savers, with 0.25% of the average monthly balance being donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity by Kent Reliance.

Product details include:

  • Savings account for under-18s
  • 1.60% AER
  • Minimum balance £10
  • Maximum balance £25,000

Will Davies added: “Encouraging children to save is an essential step in their financial education; our new Peter Pan Account encourages the saving habit at an early age whilst making a difference for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.”

Kent Reliance has been supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity since 2011 and has so far raised over £165,000 towards the charity’s work to help rebuild and refurbish the hospital, provide vital up-to-date equipment, fund research into better treatments and provide support services for patients and their families.

Young savers and their families are invited to join the Kent Reliance team, at their new Hempstead Valley branch on Tuesday 27 October at 3pm, for a chance to meet Peter Pan and Tinker Bell.
