The Maidstone branch employs 10 full time staff who are all from the Kent area and between them have processed nearly 50,000 transactions and opened almost 1,500 new accounts since the official branch opening last year.
Customers enjoying the cupcakes on the day commented, “The new branch is a great improvement on the old one. The staff are always helpful, smartly dressed, professional and courteous. Cannot fault them.” and another added, “Your new branch office is so much bigger and you have a lot of staff, who are very friendly, intent on making our experience a great one.”
Jared Ellis, Branch Manager had the honour of unveiling the stunning cupcake display and thanked staff for all their hard work, “Now that the dust has completely settled in our new home, I can honestly say that the expectations of our customers and our employees have been exceeded and we‘ve really enjoyed seeing the delight on our customer’s faces when they enter the branch for the first time”.
Kent Reliance, one of the county’s largest employers and part of OneSavings Bank plc, carried out extensive research with both customers and staff to ensure their feedback helped shape the new, purpose-built branch. Improvements included the expansion of services offered, enhancements to reduce waiting times and spacious private customer consultation rooms.
The relocation and enhancement of the Maidstone branch last year was followed by the Canterbury branch opening in October this year, both of which form part of a wider programme of investment into the branch network, at a time when over 3,000 high street bank and building society branches have shut since 2014.*
