Support for local man's fundraising campaign

fund-raisingKent Reliance has got behind local man, Nathaniel Richards, and his fundraising campaign to help collect school supplies for disadvantaged school children in Romania.

Having visited the Romanian village of Racos, Nathaniel was struck by how the local school children undertook a 20 mile round trip to get to school each day. Having got to school the children and staff suffer from a constant lack of supplies and teaching materials.  Not daunted by the daily ordeal to gain an education, Nathaniel was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and passion these school children had for learning and provided the motivation for Nathaniel to start this fundraising campaign.

Nathaniel says: “I have always wanted to make a positive difference in this world and after seeing the eagerness to learn from these children, I knew I could make a real difference to their education by supplying them with basic equipment. Kent Reliance’s support is invaluable and I can’t wait to share with them what a difference their contribution has made.”

Nathaniel was presented at his local Kent Reliance branch in Canterbury with a £200 cheque and an assortment of school equipment, all ready for him to take to Romania.

Rob Gurr, PR and Events Manager – Kent Reliance, added: “The staff at Kent Reliance couldn’t fail to be impressed by Nathaniel’s drive to gift essential equipment to the school in Romania. We are delighted to contribute to this local man’s campaign and applaud his initiative and efforts.”
